Odds

I like the name Spright for a child.

The night before, I had a dream where I was driving around with my kids in a mixed neighborhood called Wyndfall.  Seems like we bought a house there, but it also seems like we were just looking. Later in the dream, the kids and I were in a house with old worn, dusty, soft wood floors.  There was an enormous oven in the kitchen.  A fire was lit, I vaguely recall I may have lit it earlier, but I decided to extinguish it and hoped that the fire would go out.  I was relieved it did and rejoined my kids in the living room.

Per the excerpt from a recent NYT article below, I love the idea of NORAD tuning their airspace radar from dull to sharp, like a microfiche scanner.  Everything is blissfully blurry, then: Hello Alien! Ha!

What is clear is that the United States and Canada have become hypervigilant since the balloon incursion. The North American Aerospace Defense Command, or NORAD, has adjusted its radar system to become more sensitive, sharply raising the number of objects it detects.

Maybe that's why UFOs are blurry!  NORAD needed to adjust the settings!

All Veterans

Armistice Day is commemorated every year on 11 November to mark the armistice signed between the Allies of World War I and Germany at CompiègneFrance at 5:45 am, for the cessation of hostilities on the Western Front of World War I, which took effect at eleven o'clock in the morning—the "eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month" of 1918. But, according to Thomas R. Gowenlock, an intelligence officer with the US First Division, shelling from both sides continued for the rest of the day, only ending at nightfall.[1][2] The armistice initially expired after a period of 36 days. A formal peace agreement was only reached when the Treaty of Versailles was signed the following year

Ceasefire.
I received a snotty reply on Twitter from an Australian on Veterans Day.
It was from something I tweeted in early December 2017.
Walter Tremayne-- "But if you don't have wars you don't get veterans."
Dare to dream, Walter, dare to dream.

Meanwhile, Trump is a weak asshole trying to dismantle the allegiance we have with Europe.
