Oh my goth
I love this! The title and gothness reminds me of Miriam the haunting short story by Truman Capote.

Also, now I'm deeply into my decision of becoming a nun when I was younger. I didn't do it and I'm fine with that, but I'm laughing about how I viewed (or still view) it. Simple, contemplative--me just sitting and staring and being lazy without anyone bothering me about it. Sweeping my uncluttered room. Same clothes. Can hoe in the garden or make bread. Of course that's for all the wrong reasons religion wise, but all good reasons to me. I might be a nun that sings "Maria-a-an" for Halloween.

Currently Reading: Short Stories of...
Truman Capote

The scandalous photo that helped launch Capote's star.
The Grass Harp and A Tree of Night and other stories
Read so far:
Children on their Birthdays
Miriam
My Side of the Matter
Jug of Silver
Her first book comprised of short stories. I have finished only one: Flavia and her Artists.
I'm enjoying this mix of authors. It feels like the perfect season for these two!
