Rescue Remedy

February 14, 2013
have been using the flower essence Rescue Remedy since
1993 and learned about it from a brilliant medical Dr. in
Asheville, NC. Fancy that??? I am a grown woman, but had
residual childhood fears about going to bed at night. My
fear was that someone was under my bed, and would
grab my legs as I got into bed. As embarrassing as it seemed
at the time, I confessed this to my MD. I also told him that I
would jump into the bed from a distance of 2 feet each
night, and wake my sleeping husband. The first night that
I put about 4 drops of RR under my tongue, I walked to the
bed, and got in without anxiety or incident. There was no
fear. That same night, during the early morning hours of
sleep, I had a hallucination while dreaming. This creepy
specter appeared in the corner of my room. I woke up and
looked at the genie-like man whose smokey appearance
stared down at me while slowly puffing on a cigarette.
I know this sounds insane, but it's true. Normally I would
have flipped all of the lights on, pulled the sheets up to my
nose, and sat awake in bed until dawn appeared. I would
have been mortified. Instead, I just looked up at the
apparition, rolled over and went back to sleep. The next
morning I had to pinch myself to grasp the events of the
night. Most of all, I was completely amazed that I had
entered the bed without incident, and that I worked
through what would have been a shocking and unsettling
experience during the night. I knew then that there was
something to this product.

This has got to be one of my all time favorite Amazon
Reviews.  There's more to it and Squarecrow gives good
advice for it's use, but the hallucination part is the best.
Oh, and the use of the fantastic word obstreperous! I had
to look it up. This and many other reviews convinced me
to buy some Bach's Rescue Remedy on the way home
yesterday. I was feeling desperate. My appetite has been
terrible and I started the day with a panic attack that
lasted from 4-6am. As soon as I got in the car I dropped
4 drops on my tongue. I didn't hallucinate which at this
point I'm grateful, I couldn't have handled that, but I did
notice a blunting of the background anxiety noise. I still
felt the effects from my poor appetite, the nausea and
my left arm/shoulder issue that may be a bit of nerve
damage?? I don't know, but it's worrisome because
it's on my left side and it makes me fear that there is
something wrong with my heart. I kept taking the Rescue
Remedy here and there throughout the evening and I also
ate a bit of dinner. I started to feel a bit better, a sense of
calm, like, yes, I can feel my body doing all these things
that make me feel sick, but I'm not going to get all keyed
up about it. I did wake up in the middle of the night with
a mild hot flash or just sweaty and it did take me awhile
to get back to sleep, but I didn't wake in the lung hour
and I didn't have a panic attack in the morning. I did wake
in the Liver Hour, but I just had to use the restroom and
my daughter was whimpering in the next room (her diaper
leaked). Yes, I said that, the NEXT room. HER room. She
has slept all the way through (well, I mean she cried in the
middle of the night, but remained in bed while I comforted
her for a few minutes) for TWO NIGHTS!! I'm in shock,
but Bach's Rescue Remedy has an herb in it's recipe
for that.

Bach's Flower recipe for Rescue Remedy-

Rock rose for panic and terror

Star of Bethlehem for trauma and shock

Cherry Plum for fear of losing control

Impatiens for, ahem, losing patience and reducing stress

Clematis for clarity and alertness in the present moment

27% grape based brandy

Weird, so flower essences are just dew drops that rested
on the flower in the morning sun??? Look at this from
wiki--

Bach derived his solutions intuitively[15] and based on
his perceived psychic connections to the plants, rather
than using research based on scientific methods[16]p.
185 If Bach felt a negative emotion, he would hold his
hand over different plants, and if one alleviated the
emotion, he would ascribe the power to heal that
emotional problem to that plant. He imagined that
early-morning sunlight passing through dew-drops on
flower petals transferred the healing power of the flower
onto the water,[17] so he would collect the dew drops from
the plants and preserve the dew with an equal amount of
brandy to produce a mother tincture which would be
further diluted before use.[18] Later, he found that the
amount of dew he could collect was not sufficient, so
he would suspend flowers in spring water and allow the
sun's rays to pass through them.[17] If this was
impractical because of lack of sunlight or other reasons,
he wrote that the flowers may be boiled. The result of this
process Bach termed the "mother tincture", which is then
further diluted before sale or use.

oh well, if it's placebo, then it's working--I will freakin
take it.
I enjoyed reading this on Dr. Bach. Flower essences are
considered vibrational medicine.  This is one of my
favorite scenes:

"Human kind is simply materialized color operating
on the 49th vibration."

Are you loving how you're living

Is it treating you well Do you greet the early morning alone Are you leaving who is loving you In spite of it all Are you closing it down To get away from it all

North Korean-Russian House of Friendship

Sorry true Russians, I don't mean to make your country the scapegoat, but believe me, it's not the hearty wonderful people of Russia that I'm talking about.  It's your leaders, the Kremlin gang.

The Kremlin hacked the Olympics in South Korea using North Korean I.P. addresses.

Does this Olympic fail give affirmation that it was Kremlin hackers pretending to be North Korea that were responsible for the Sony hack?
Was the Sony hack the inspiration or the first step to test the waters for the 2016 election hack?

Today, I learn from this NYT article that according to the UN, North Korea has been supplying Syria with elements used for chemical weapons.  Although, North Korea and Syria have had a relationship since the 60's, which I didn't know--interesting and odd, I do wonder if there is a Kremlin connection in this recent exchange.  The Kremlin has taken an interest, albeit a lead, in the Syrian war.  How the hell does a poor, hermit nation like NK supply these things to war torn Syria?  Who is bankrolling North Korea?

Kremlin has provided aid North Korea, they forgave 90% of the debt NK owed to Krems, they have set up a ferry system just in the last year, they are not helping with the US sanctions against North Korea.  Red alert: the sanctions should be against the Kremlin, not North Korea.
North Korea owes Russia.

Kremlin is a big brother to North Korea, Kremlin is calling the shots.  Vladimir Putin is causing chaos so that he can remain in power.  His greed is full, but his vision is empty.  He has nothing to offer to the world but pain.  Putin is not a good steward of this planet.  Putin is a scourge.

Their's is a weird back and forth, hot and cold relationship according to Wikipedia:

On December 2013 Russia joined the sanctions against North Korea, introduced in March by the U.N Security Council(Resolution 2087). The corresponding decree signed by President Putin specified that Russian companies were prohibited to provide North Korea any technical assistance and advice in the development and production of ballistic missiles. In addition, North Korean naval vessels to call at Russian ports would be required to undergo inspection. Also, the authorities ordered to be vigilant when dealing with North Korean diplomats.[22][23]
In May 2014 Russia and North Korea have agreed to settlements in rubles in all trade between the two countries.[24] The first transactions in rubles between Russia and North Korea were carried out in October 2014.[25]
In March 2015, a Russian official said Moscow and Pyongyang have agreed to discuss the creation of advanced development zones in Russia’s Far East and North Korea.[26]
In May 2016 the Central Bank of Russia ordered all Russian banks to halt financial dealings with North Korean agencies, organizations and individuals on the U.N Security Council sanctions list. The move was in line with the United Nations Security Council resolution adopted in early March to penalize North Korea for its fourth nuclear test and long-range missile launch and curb its weapons of mass destruction program.

A few odd facts on North Korea gleened from this blog by Marcelo Guadiana. I double checked them against other well known reputable news sources and these appear to be legit.

  1. The giant rabbit feeding program. Kim Jong-il showed interest in breeding giant overweight rabbits in 2007. He got this idea after seeing Karl Szmolinsky, a German rabbit breeder, breed the world’s largest rabbit. Szmolinsky sent overweight rabbits to North Korea but the experiment turned out to be a failure when it was suspected that lil' Kim was eating them for himself.
  2. Human feces government program. Farming fertilizers used to be imported from South Korea. However, South Korea stopped sending them in 2008. The government, therefore, created a program where farmers had to use their own fecesas fertilizers. Factory workers have to meet a quota of two tons of human feces.
  3. Military programs use most of the funds. North Korea spends a lot of its funds on the military. In 2001, the country spent more than $5 billion on military spending alone, which is more than 30 percent of the country’s GDP. North Korea is believed to have around half a dozen nuclear weapons.
  4. Despite high poverty rates, the leader is worth $5 billion. According to the 2011 corruption index from Transparency International, North Korea is officially the world’s most corrupt country. It is estimated that Kim inherited $4 billion from his father. According to a South Korean news organization, he is worth as much $5 billion. The money is held in secret accounts in European banks and comes from counterfeiting, the sales of narcotics and other illegal endeavors. Kim also spends vast amounts of money on luxury goods. It is reported he spent $645.8 million in 2012.
  5. Crystal meth epidemic. North Korea suffers a widespread meth epidemic. To negate the horrid economy with little to no government help, the production of drugs is used as an economic stimulus. In 2000, North Korean factories began to produce methamphetamine. This caused an increase in the domestic use of meth. The drug is now very occurrence and is seen as something of a luxury. As a result, many North Koreans have become addicted to the drug. It is estimated that 80 percent of residents have used the drug while 40 percent are addicted.
Sochi and Olympics in general:  Do they have anything to do with anything?  Is there a FIFA-esque corruption element here?

And now the miraculous Kim Jung un and Donald John Trump meeting in May.  Political theater brought to you by Trump, Putin and the complicit GOP.  Where is that picture I took at the doctor's office lobby of lil' big Kim on the cover Time magazine with a half eaten Twinkie laying on top of it?

Waking in the Lung Hour

I keep waking up in the middle of my sleep around 4am.  That's the Lung Hour.  According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Lungs are equated with the following:

Emotion: sadness/grief
Flavor: Pungent
Season: Fall
Color: White
Sound: Sssssssss

Breathing exercises and Nettle tea for me!
