Pink August

In my world, the growing season ends and begins with pink.
From pink April to pink August

My daughter, the mushroom scientist, is using art to get her thinking right for her experiment to make poisonous mushrooms nonpoisonous.

We have had quite a harvest of fungi the last few weeks of July:
Gilled and pored
Ruby Boletes
Smooth Chanterelles
Meadow Mushroom, white with pink gills-adorable
Hygrophorus Milkcap
Russula cerolens
Turkey tail
Pale brittlestem
King Alfred's cakes
Scaly ink cap, dissolves into black liquid
Thin-walled maze polypore
A mushroom growing in a sign stake with the cutest baby mushroom in tow
A Smurf village made of ruby boletes under the Echinacea
Jellied false coral fungi
Tapioca slime mold

We made spore prints for the first time too!  Looking for that purple print!
